Kate Blumner is a board-certified adult psychiatrist. She has been in practice for over 15 years and has seen patients in her private practice in Southeast Portland since 2012. She has worked in outpatient psychiatry at the VA Medical Center and is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at OHSU and a member of the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. She has extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and is a graduate of the Psychodynamic Psychotherapy Program through the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center.
She completed her medical degree and psychiatry residency training at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She is board-certified in adult pyschiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology,.
Kate works with people struggling with a wide range of difficulties including depression, adult ADHD, anxiety, and trauma. The majority of her practice is psychotherapy although she offers limited medication management for patients who have established care with a therapist. She is excited to offer ketamine treatment for those who have not benefited sufficiently from more traditional medication and therapy interventions. She provides ketamine treatment to those who already have established mental health care, are appropriate for ketamine treatment, and meet eligibility criteria.
